This Fabric is an iridescent Steel Blue Silk Shantung. It is 100% Silk. This is a machine and hand woven silk, that is smoother and crispier than Dupioni silk. It has much less slubs and texture than Dupioni. This shantung silk is a more tightly-woven fabric and the texture is in between Dupioni and silk taffeta. The silk shantung is yarn-dyed fabric. The Steel Blue shantung has Purple warp (lengthwise yarn) threads and Light Blue weft (transverse yarn) threads.
